Remarks According to the memoirs of Frank Monan, Co. A 331st, 1st. Lt. Victor E Belmont joined Co. A on July 11th, 1944 and was a Platoon leader for Company A. These memoirs also mention that he died on July 19th but this does not concur with the date-of-death registered by the U.S. Army at that time.

The morning report confirms this. First Lieutenant Belmont was a member of A Company. The morning report for July 11, 1944 on page 16 lists him joining the unit from the 48th Replacement Battalion on July 11, 1944. The morning report for August 17, 1944 on page 33 lists his status changed to missing in action on July 19, 1944. The morning report for November 27, 1944 on page 32 lists a correction:

To correct the remarks of 31 October 1944 which read: MIA 19 July 1944 to KIA 10 July 1944 is corrected to read MIA 19 July 1944 to KIA 19 July 1944.

The relevant pages can be seen below. These morning reports confirm the memoirs of Frank Monan but conflict with the KIA date listed with ABMC.
