| Remarks | S/Sgt Whitehead was a member of Battery B. The morning report for October 21, 1944 on page 21 and 22 reads the following: Btry shelled at 1130 by enemy. About 18 rds fell in btry area. S/Sgt Whitehead and Pvt Joe Watts, Jr were instantly killed when a shell fell approx. 15 ft fro No 2 Howitzer. Pages 21 and 22 can be seen here as well.
