Remarks Private First Class Jerome Thomas Brandt was born on July 13th, 1923 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He attended St. John's Parochial School and married Grace Faber on May 6th, 1943 at St. John's Catholic Church. He was severely wounded in action in France on July 27th, 1944 and killed in action on the December 9th, 1944. On both events paper articles were written that can be seen below. Private First Class Brandt was a member of C Company. The morning report for July 24, 1944 on pages 42 and 43 list him joining the unit from the 48th Replacement Battalion on July 20, 1944. Page 49, for July 27, 1944 lists him severely wounded in action and transferred to the 102nd Evacuation Hospital. The morning report for December 13, 1944 on page 30 lists his status changed to missing in action on December 9, 1944. The pages can be seen below.
