The morning report for July 5, 1944 on page 5 and 6 show him severely wounded in action and transferred to the hospital. Page 9, for 6 July 1944, shows him severely wounded in action and transferred to the 34th Evacuation Hospital. Page 5, 6 and 9 can be seen here.
