Remarks Technical Sergeant Luckner was a member of I Company. The morning report for July 13, 1944 on page 28 shows him as killed in action on July 11, 1944. The page can be seen below. Rich Paul provided me with the obituary of T/Sgt Luckner. From that obituary:

Tech. Sgt. Robert C. Luckner 29, was killed in action, July 13, it was reported in a telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark P. Luckner of 838 10th St. NE, Friday morning. His parents had been worried for they had not received any mail from their son for some time. Then the tragic telegram was received from the adjudant-general of the US Army informing them of his death in action in Normandy.
Sgt. Luckner a graduate of Washington high school and a former eomployee of the Enterprise Aluminum Co. entered the armed forces, Jun 24, 1941, and had just celebrated his 28th birthday a short time before he was killed in action. He was a member of a cavalry regiment at Fort Riley, Kan. and Tucson Ariz., before the cavalry regiment was dismounted and he was transferred to the infantry.
He was sent overseas April 5, 1944 after receiving training at Camp Atterbury, Ind. and Camp Breckenridge, Ky. Stationed in England he was a member of the 329th Infantry battalion which participated in the invasion of France on D-Day.
