General Order 25 lists his commendation for a Purple Heart for wounds received in action on July 29, 1944, they are not listed in the July or August 1944 morning reports. The morning report for December 23, 1944 on page 39 lists him as missing in action on December 22, 1944. The pages can be seen below.
